this week in "painting friends" we had our friday foto challenge! thanks to susan lacy for the fun photo!!!
these rocks are located in utah!! i started out painting my normal way.. lots of detail, very soft and light and then some thing said "oh what the heck just go for the gusto.. its only paper.." it only took a few minutes,once i decided to let the paint fly!!! i was splashing paint here and there and having a blast and not worring about what was going to happen!! ..AND i got the darks in, for a change!!
thats my story and i'm sticking to it!!! LOL

Utah rocks and so do you! This is a gorgeous painting :) I've glad you just let loose and let the paint blend, run, and make that great texture and color happen.
thanks rhonda.. it was fun.. but very difficult just to let loose.. another thing i have to practice.. relax and darks.. relax and darks!!! LOL

Oh My Goodness, Cindi! Is this great or what?!! Love your colors - and the texture in the rocks - and the grasses - and the awesome shadows! AND the darks!! Woo Hoo! You did it! Big applause!!
