Looking at stephies blog, she had a wonderful tiger, and she said go for it Cindi ~~you can do it.. and i thought ok, i'll give er' a try...
Remembered i had photo of a lion, from my colorful art teacher, Tom Tiedeman.. i hadn't used it yet cause i missed the class!! Wanted to try and see if i could get the wonderful bold colors he gets...
This is on arches 140, the colors used: yellow ochre, fum blue, brown madder and a bit of indigo to get the darks.. really dark!!

hi fabio, thank you.. sorry fum blue is french ultra marine blue... for some reason i like it better than regular ultra marine blue.. its probably all in my mind...lol thanks again for stopping by!!
Hi Cindi, very nice colors! One suggestion - his ear looks a little "pasted on" - perhaps soften just a bit where it goes into his fur?
thanks deb.. i was thinking the same thing.. i softened the bottom a few times, maybe softening again?? LOL thanks for the suggestion...
